STIHL Tour des Trees
The STIHL Tour des Trees is the signature fundraising event of the
Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund). This weeklong,
500-mile cycling event has become America's largest fundraiser to improve the care of trees through research and education. Since
its inception in 1992, the Tour des Trees has generated more than $4.4 million for the TREE Fund and has funded a variety of
research around the world, such as new disease control methods and improved safety methods for arborists and other tree care professionals.
As the title sponsor for the Tour des Trees,
STIHL is excited to be instrumental in promoting responsible environmental stewardship and proud that the
2009 STIHL Tour des Trees,
which kicked off in New York City’s Central Park, raised nearly a half million dollars for the TREE Fund.
